Intersal is greatly saddened by the loss of Dr. Alan Fields. A childhood friend of Intersal founder Philip Masters, Dr. Fields was an integral part of Intersal’s formation and remained a board member and an officer of the company until his passing.
Dr. fields was a practicing surgeon in South Florida specializing in general and pelvic surgery since 1973. He was involved with a number of medical businesses and practices in South Florida, including serving as owner and director of Humana Medical Centers, and as physician attendant at several radiation therapy centers.
Dr. Fields was active in sports medicine serving as team physician to the U.S.A. Olympic Boxing Team in 1996. He was Chief Medical Physician for the Florida State Boxing Association and in 2009 Dr. Fields was inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame, where he served as a board member and medical advisor. Dr. Fields also served as chairman of the Florida’s Governor’s Advisory Committee for Sports and was formerly Chief Physician for the Florida Kickboxing and Karate Association.
Dr. Fields served in the US Marine Corps and received his B.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University is D.O. degree from Philadelphia College of osteopathic Medicine.
With the entire Masters family for whom Dr. Fields was primary physician, Intersal wishes to express its sympathy to Dr. Fields family and friends, and it’s continued appreciation for all of Dr. Fields efforts on behalf of Intersal.
